First campaign checklist
Complete this checklist before allowing live outreach. It keeps the first campaign measurable, compliant, and ready for proof reporting.
- Confirm account ownership and roles.
Owner or Admin users should verify account access, team members, and API-key scope before adding client data.
- Buy or activate a link package.
Start the Starter trial or open Billing, select the package capacity, complete Stripe checkout, and confirm active quota.
- Add the website URL.
Open Onboarding, enter the canonical public website URL, and wait for PendingAnalysis.
- Review linkable assets.
Open Link assets, confirm the system found cite-worthy pages, and pause anything that should not be promoted.
- Check prospect quality.
Open Prospects and review target domains, relevance, outreach goal, and suppression/exclusion fit.
- Prepare measurement and outreach.
Connect Google data, confirm mailbox readiness, then review outbound drafts and guardrails before any send. Live outreach is disabled during the Starter trial.
Google OAuth setup
Google data powers Analytics and Search Console impact snapshots. Connect only properties you own or have explicit client authorization to access.
Use the dedicated Google OAuth docs for scopes, callback URL, consent screen, data minimization, disconnect expectations, and privacy request routes.
Prerequisites
- The website exists in AssetLed and belongs to the current account.
- Your Google user has access to the relevant Analytics property and Search Console site.
- The production OAuth redirect URL is configured for this deployment.
Connect
- Open Google data.
- Select the website, choose Connect Google, and approve the Google consent screen.
- Return through the callback page and verify the connection status.
Validate
- Run Sync on the saved connection.
- Open Reports and verify Google impact appears after data is available.
- If sync fails, confirm property access, redirect URL configuration, and token revocation state.
Stripe billing help
Billing is package-based. Stripe handles checkout, the card-required Starter trial, subscription state, the customer portal, and invoices; AssetLed stores package quota and order status after webhook confirmation.
- Start trial
- Use Start free trial to create the self-serve Starter trial. The first website is analyzed after Stripe confirms the trial, and the trial automatically renews unless canceled before the renewal time.
- Choose a package
- Open Billing, pick the link-delivery capacity that matches the first campaign, and continue to Stripe checkout.
- After checkout
- Return to Billing. Quota updates when Stripe confirms payment through the webhook; refresh if checkout has just completed.
- Cancel trial
- Use Manage billing / cancel trial from Billing to cancel through the Stripe Customer Portal before the renewal time. After cancellation, onboarding and live work stop for that trial account.
- Upgrade trial
- You can upgrade immediately from Billing. Upgrading ends the trial immediately and starts the paid package selected in Stripe Checkout.
- Past due or canceled
- Resolve the payment method in Stripe, then verify Billing shows active quota before adding new websites or expecting analysis to proceed.
- Billing support
- For invoices, failed payments, or package changes, email [email protected].
Mailbox setup
Outreach should use real, authorized mailboxes on dedicated outreach domains. Do not connect personal inboxes, shared support inboxes, or mailboxes without client authorization.
Use the dedicated mailbox setup docs for SMTP/IMAP requirements, app passwords, DNS deliverability, test send/read, warmup caps, and the Mailgun product-email boundary.
DNS and identity
- Configure SPF, DKIM, and DMARC before sending.
- Use a clear sender name and a monitored reply-to mailbox.
- Keep the physical mailing address and unsubscribe footer accurate.
SMTP and IMAP
- Use provider-specific app passwords or OAuth credentials where supported.
- Verify SMTP send and IMAP read access before enabling live outreach.
- Store credentials only through the protected application configuration flow.
Safety guardrails
- Start with warmup limits and increase send volume gradually.
- Review Outreach for bounces, negative replies, unsubscribe, and suppression state.
- Keep dry-run enabled until the first campaign, assets, and contacts are approved.
First link package walkthrough
This is the expected path from purchase to the first client-ready proof report.
- Purchase package.
Use Billing to buy the package and confirm remaining quota.
- Add website.
Use Onboarding to submit the website URL. Paid websites move to analysis; unpaid websites stay gated.
- Analyze assets.
Review asset findings. If there are no viable assets, the workflow stops instead of starting low-quality outreach.
- Review prospects and outreach.
Inspect prospect relevance, goals, contact readiness, suppression checks, and drafted outreach before live sends.
- Monitor proof.
After placement detection, review live-link proof, link attributes, Google impact, AI citations, quota, and shareable reports.
